Finally managed to find the time to put together our USA travel book.

When on the road I always love carrying a camera with me. I suppose thats what photographers do.

With quite a large collection of images Im slowly bringing out different editions for different countries and locations.

I hope you like them and its nice to see them in book form.

Here are a few movie stills from a movie we’ve just shot for Hayley Menzies Designer featuring Sophie Anderton. We spent the day in and around shooting in Portobello road. We also had a little fun with the Paparazzi following us about the place. The movie is now in edit and will be available in the next few weeks but thought a couple of stills going out wouldn’t hurt!

OK it was a quiet sunday afternoon! Taking photos of my equipment for a location camera checklist so I don’t turn up on location with the wrong kit! For those that know me know that I like my equipment lightweight so I can travel to any location in the world with the lightest kit available. Thought the images would look good as a collage!

Its Louise Again

Some may wonder why I have so many images of Louise Cliffe in my portfolio. Well in between jobs filming traveling around to super locations hanging around waiting for things to happen we just so happen to be good mates. When in London she stays at my studio and often we will throw a shoot together and see what happens. It keeps the creative juices flowing and it helps to that she is a very versatile model and actress and knows how to work the camera.

I hope you like these images taken just outside my studio doors. (Poutstudios)

For those interested shot on my Contax 645 with my old antique Kodak 645 Pro back which somehow still works. I like this back as it feels like film and a little different than my Phase One in quality.

Simple lighting setup with my Contax 645 camera with a 120 2.8 lens and Phase One back. Lighting was a Quantum flash trigered with Pocket Wizards.

Jenny Frost for Playboy Bunny Bra.

Had the pleasure of Jenny Frost in the studio to shoot the new Bunny Bra for Playboy/Littlewoods. Jenny can’t only sing but is also a super model as she really knows how to work in front of the camera. I wish all models were as good as her! Incidently the mirror in the shot had to be specially built to give it that 60′s feel so running around the week before to find the bits and pieces was lots of fun. It now sits on my studio wall and we’ve called it Chernobyl due to the power and heat it generates when turned on…..

The lighting we used to light the shot was a combination of HMI’s and Arri 650′s and had to be carefully placed so as to light both subject and reflection. Even though it was composed together after it’s good to get it right on the shoot.

Danielle Lloyd 2009 Calendar

T 1: The shoot

Just came back from Dubai with a tight little bundle of photographs which were used in this little great Danielle Lloyd 2009 Calendar. The weather was hot and humid with this shot being taken around 8 in the morning before we gave up for the day. The police stopped for a short time to watch the proceedings but decided to move on, we did however keep an little eye out for them just in case. So what do you think of Danielle in this little Playboy bikini number? Cute aint it!

Anyway I had just brought the Nikon D700 the day before the shoot as its very small in size (getting lazy in my old age) and great low light abilities. What a great camera! That camera coupled with my trusty SB800 (one of eight SB800′s I carry) created this image above. The image was originally a landscape but was required as a cover and so was cropped to a portrait.

My trusty Contax 645 and Phase One was also on the trip but I wanted to give the Nikon D700 a run for its money and to see how far I could push it. 2500 images later I was convinced I had a great camera to play with….. Just wish Contax lenses fitted the Nikon and I would be a very happy bunny!

Just read that the camera has only been tested to 150,000 frames. Already clocked up around 20,000 in the first couple of weeks on location and in the studio. I will dig out some behind the scenes footage which was filmed during the shoot. Might be of some interest to some!

Just found this image. I wanted to show behind the sceans but I wasn’t expecting the Paparazzi to do it for me. As you can see a simple setup to get the image….. (Your supposed to be looking at the camera setup!)
